iCloud is a great service introduced by Apple in 2011 to all their users with the purpose of offering free and wireless cloud storage where individuals are able to save and protect their information throughout their devices. Through the use of iCloud users are able to have access to their information of their cloud through any device, also, many features are offered for the convenience and safety of the users.
There are many advantages to using iCloud, for example if you are changing iPhones or setting up a new device (iPad, iPod etc) You are able to simply set it up and download your information to it, thanks to iCloud, your Mail, Contacts, Photos, Notes and other features will be wirelessly synchronized to your device and available to you immediately. Another benefit of using iCloud is being able to keep track of your devices through the use of the “Find my iPhone” feature. Can’t find your device? There are many ways to sign-into your iCloud account, here is how to do it using your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod.
- First, make sure your device is running on the latest IOS. This is important because this will avoid your device from crashing or experiencing any bugs during the sign-in process.
- Also, iCloud must be activated on the device in order for you to be able to sign-in. If you are setting up a new device, this is easy, because you are able to do this in the activation process by following the on-screen instructions and selecting to activate iCloud. However, if you are signing in from an device who has been previously activated, you can activate iCloud in Settings.
- Signing in is easy, Tap on settings, scroll down to iCloud and enter the corresponding email address and password.
It is very important to keep in mind that iCloud’s security is very strict and if you are not able to remember your password it is important to keep updated your security questions and alternative email address. Once you have been locked out of iCloud your device won’t be able to be used normally unless you log back in with your iCloud account information. This is why it is so important to keep the security information updated.
