iCloud is an Apple powered service designed to help all Apple users share and save their information throughout their devices. iCloud was introduced to the public on 2011 and with this, people became able to save their information on a cloud that could be accessed through their iCloud/ Apple ID account. There are many advantages to this service, and it also provides people with many features that help people keep their information saved. By using iCloud, the information in your Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, Notes, Reminders, Pages, Numbers, Keynote etc.. will be automatically saved and synchronized throughout all your devices.
iCloud can be easily described as an Cloud service. For example, the photos that you take on your iPhone can be shared on your iPod, iPad, and computer easily. Since iCloud is an service that is free and operates wirelessly there is no worry about cost and/or hassle when wanting to update your device information. iCloud does not only serve as a tool to store information, but as a way to have all of your needs meet in one place. iCloud offers its users many helpful features like Find my iPhone and Reminders, these allow you to locate your devices and keep track of where they are at all times, while reminders will send you notifications at certain times to remind you to do important things. Overall, the purpose of iCloud is to make the user’s life easier by providing them with the necessary tools to get things done faster and more effectively. One of the main advantages of iCloud, if the fact that the user is able to access all of its features through any device, even if it’s not an apple device. There are two ways in which a computer can access iCloud, and that is by downloading the iCloud app and/or entering the iCloud website. To Log in to your iCloud account from your computer web browser, simply follow these steps:
- Open your computer’s web browser
- Type in www.icloud.com
- Here, you will be asked to enter your iCloud email address and password. Please make sure to write this information careful and double check it once it is written. Also, ensure you are not choosing to save your password if you are using a public and/or shared computer. This option is placed directly below the email and password boxes, make sure it is UNCHECKED.
- Once the information is filled, a black arrow next to the password block will become active.
- Click on the black arrow and you will be redirected to iCloud’s main page
